Oh ho but it was rushed both story and gameplay wise and let me give you reasons why: 1. It just felt so clean, so clean that it never really got repetitive. It was really pleasant to hear and it barely got annoying. The sound effects: I loved the sound effects for the game. I love the story from the game because it wasn't just a Tales of the Abyss like story with a different setting.ģ. I never understood why people think that the story is rushed and I'll probably never will.It felt kinda deep AND it wasn't simple like Tales of Graces. Even though there are "flaws" in the story that makes it "bad", I still enjoyed it. The story: Even though it wasn't as good as Abyss in my opinion, I think it was pretty good. The game isn't making or telling you to spam so.Ģ. I honestly don't see the problem with spamming moves when you can just play the game in a way that doesn't require you to spam. I just LOVE finding new linked artes because it feels like I've accomplished something. It also feels more like kingdom hearts in a way too. The game lets you spam artes if you are in overlimit by the way.
Tales of xillia 2 ex dungeon plus#
Each character also have different linked artes depending on what character you are playing as and what character you're linked with, making the gameplay even more enjoyable and plus you can spam them if you are in overlimit. Those can obviously be used only when you are linked with another character. Each character has their own combos whether they are linked with other character or not, so it make the gameplay feel fresh in a way.The game also lets you do a move called a linked arte. you can link up with a CPU and do very good combos with them and EVEN go into overlimit with them.

Tales of xillia 2 ex dungeon upgrade#
It felt like more of an upgrade from Abyss and Unlike Graces where you can't even do a simple combo, Xillia let you do very cool combos.

The gameplay: I love the unresricted gameplay. oh and "unrefined" can be defined differently from one peron to another Edited Octoby Luke Fon Fabreġ. I actually LOVED the spamming in the game because I love games that let me do ANYTHING without any restrictions and Tales of Xillia did to perfectly and the story DIDN'T feel rushed in my opinion. Heck, even Hideo Baba, himself, even admitted that Tales of Xillia was a rushed product.Įven though there are "facts" that the game has to be proven it was rushed, just because the game was proven to be rushed that doesn't mean that I can't like it. Battle system was unrefined to the point where it would result in button mashing or link art spamming. Story was too linear and rushed ESPECIALLY at the end.ĩ. Even the post game dungeon was copy/paste.Ĩ. Everything was too identical to each otherħ. All the areas in Xillia were copy/pasted and not inspired. Jude was really annoying in the second half of Xillia and Milla's story was just pointlessĥ. We fight both Gaius and Muzet at the final battle but after fighting them they suddenly a new mindset and just randomly stop being villians with no triggers or explanations as to why (same goes for all the other characters in the game)ģ. Everyone's personality suddenly did a 180 at the end if the game and made the whole journey feel pointlessĢ. The ending, itself, was completely rushed. Oh ho but it was rushed both story and gameplay wise and let me give you reasons why:ġ.
